  • Top quality soundboards – Our soundboards won't crack even if taken into another climate – this is because we use floating soundboards in our top of the line instruments, and laminated soundboards in our entry level dulcimers. A "floating soundboard" is held down by the pressure of the strings on the bridges. This is a very high quality method of construction that allows the soundboard to expand and contract when it is exposed to climate or temperature changes, thus preventing cracking.
  • The hammer dulcimer is an ancient instrument that is believed to have originated in Persia thousands of years ago. It is the forerunner of the harpsicord and piano, and is surprisingly easy to play.
